Passbook PDFs are locked for a reason
Indian banks email or let you download an e-passbook PDF with an open password so a forwarded attachment does not preview in Gmail. This page decrypts that file only when you type the password from the SMS or net-banking screen — usually the account number, customer ID, or date of birth in DDMMYYYY.
We will not “remove passwords from passbook” by brute force. After unlock, merge pages or compress if a KYC portal has a size cap. Related: bank statement and EPF UAN passbook.

Can you remove the password from Passbook PDF password without the password?
No. Type the password you already use to open the file. We do not brute-force, skip, or “hack” PDF encryption.
What password do Indian e-documents usually use?
e-Aadhaar is typically the first four letters of your name in CAPITALS plus year of birth (YYYY). Bank, CAMS, EPF, and Form 16 passwords are set by that issuer — often PAN, DOB (DDMMYYYY), or an account number. Check the SMS/email that came with the PDF.
Is it safe to upload my file here?
Uploads are stored outside the public web root, addressed by unguessable names, and deleted automatically after one hour. Download links expire so a leaked URL stops working.
Will this work on Hostinger shared hosting?
Yes for older Standard-security PDFs (common for many bank and government downloads). Newer AES-256 files may need a desktop unlocker if PHP cannot decrypt them — we never crack passwords.
Is unlocking my own file legal?
Decrypting a PDF you own with its known password is the normal way to print or merge it. Do not upload files you are not allowed to open.
